My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

3rd June Blog Post 15 Bathrooms

I don’t know why but my cats like bathrooms including showers, sinks and toilets. (I think it probably has something to do with Ragdolls’ love of water.) Tom and Charlie often sleep in the en-suite at night. Tom likes to go in the shower when I turn it on and jump out when he gets a bit wet. Charlie and Leo are starting to try this as well although Charlie is less keen on the water. I leave the shower sliding open slightly all the time as I know they like to go in and sit on the cool plastic when it’s warmer weather. Charlie likes to follow me into the toilet and he sits underneath it which is a bit disconcerting. They have both tried to get in the toilet a few times as well so I always keep the seat down. Tom and Jack were just the same and when they were little they liked to sleep in the sink. Charlie and Leo haven’t done this yet but I suspect they will. Today I heard a banging noise coming from upstairs. The other boys looked at me as if to say ‘What is that noise?’ So we went upstairs and I checked all the rooms and lastly looked in the guest bathroom. There was Leo sitting in the bath meowing at me. I think he surprised himself that he managed to get in there. He was trying to get the shower-head which was dangling on the wall and that was the cause of the banging noise. I turned the bath tap on so he could watch the water and he was fascinated. He jumped about and got his paws wet. Then found it was a bit slippy getting out of the bath but he managed it. I will have to see if this becomes his new habit like Charlie and the washing machine. I will try and get a photo next time.
