Their obsession with water is fun. They all like to go in the shower with me, especially Tom and Leo. They don’t mind getting a bit wet. Leo has started to get very interested in the toilet so I have to watch him as he tends to jump up behind me when I am on the loo! Tom fell in the loo once which was not pretty so am trying to avoid that! Leo has also gone in the bathroom sink now, just like Tom and Jack used to when they were little. I was trying to brush my teeth last night when he jumped into it and ran the tap and that did not seem to bother him. He was playing in the other bathroom yesterday. I heard a crash and went to have a look, he had knocked the soap out of the soap dish and he was sitting in the sink looking at me guiltily. So funny.

Tom loves it when I fill up their water fountains. He watches with fascination when I pour the water in from the jug and tries to put his face in it. I honestly think if I put them in a little paddling pool they would enjoy it and probably would swim!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
