Charlie and Leo are getting bigger. I think they are probably about the right weight to get neutered soon. I am hoping it might calm down their aggression a little. Not the Ragdolls are aggressive but I think they are a bit testosterone-filled at the moment. Charlie seems to have this new habit of randomly jumping on one of the others and biting their throats! In a playful way of course. Charlie and Leo are also having a few play-fights every day and they can get a bit boisterous. They were meowing at each other this morning, tails in a hooked position body tensed up and then one of them pounces on the other. It’s cute but maybe fueled by hormones or just their age I guess. The reason it does not worry me too much is they go from that to licking each other the next minute so the squabbles are short-lived. As I am typing this, Leo is sitting on my chair behind me and Charlie is lying next to the laptop with his paw on my hand. I think he wants me to stop typing.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
