21st April Blog 105 Happy Three Year Birthday Tom and Jack

Celebrated Tom and Jack’s birthday on 15th April. I got them some more toys from ‘Purrs in Our Hearts’ an online shop that makes realistic-looking feather/furry toys. I got a dangler wand with a worm-looking thing on it that they enjoyed and some bouncy balls that Charlie and Leo enjoyed chasing. The best toy I got them though, was a hairy sausage-shaped thing that looks like a dead rat (see video links). Tom, Jack, Leo, and Charlie all took turns in running off with it and growling and batting it about! They loved it. Unfortunately, it sheds fur all over the place so had to sweep up all these hairs later. I got them a card as well, and I sang them a happy birthday! It was lovely, and we all enjoyed it.

I can’t believe how old they are now! Seems like yesterday they were fluffy little kittens. Now they are big fluffy monsters! Charlie and Leo are catching up rapidly with them as well.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
