My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

17th July Blog Post 130 Drawers and Wardrobe

Had lots of fun with the boys today. We had our morning walk. It was a bit windy but that did not put them off (apart from Tom who stayed inside.) Leo, Charlie and Jack were all a bit hyper and chasing each other around the garden then dashing inside and back out again.

Later on after a nap, I played with them on the stairs and on the landing. I was chucking the spring coil that Charlie and Tom love and they were chasing after it and bringing it back to me (only a couple of times then they lost interest!) Then I put the washing away and I put some towels and tea towels on top of Leo and Charlie which they love as they hide in them and then jump out at you when you walk past.

Later on after a trip out with boyfriend, we were sorting a few things upstairs and I had the drawers open in the chest of drawers in the spare room. The next minute I turn around and Jack has jumped in the drawer! The drawer was tipping slightly which was making me a bit worried. He kept trying to put his head through the gap at the back of the drawer as you know Ragdolls are so curious. They want to see in every drawer, cupboard, door, gap et cetera. I tried to get him out of the drawer but he was not happy. I tried to lift him and he whined at me and went all limp which was making it awkward to lift him out. Eventually, boyfriend gently lifted him out and I closed the drawer. Then he was tapping on it with his paw. He was not giving up!

While sorting out some bits in the wardrobe, we made them a new bed/hiding place for them. I took out the bed drawer from under my bed ages ago as I wanted to make a hiding place for them under my bed, although they don’t use it much. Then I had shoved the drawer into my second wardrobe it was leaning precariously against the back of the wardrobe. Boyfriend rearranged it so it was flat on the floor in the wardrobe instead (and safer) and it just fit in the gap. Then Leo and Charlie straight away jump in it. I then put some old clothes in there to make a nice spot for them to sleep. It was a really nice day for all of us and hopefully they should be tired tonight and me and boyfriend can get some peace and quiet!
