My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

25th March 2024 Blog Post 195 Hobbies and Cats Don’t Mix 

(Apologies I did not get round to posting on Friday)

I am sitting down at the table writing this blog having just fed the boys (at 11AM) as they were fussing and meowing at me and I got fed up with them hassling me. Have been busying myself doing some painting. Hobbies and cats don’t mix! Charlie tried to sabotage my picture by jumping on the table and walking up and down and getting his paws in the paint, chewing the paint brush etc. I was getting so mad with him as usual! Then he plonks himself right in the middle of the table where my picture was and I thankfully grabbed it before he sat on it! Had to paint in my lap leaning on a clipboard instead. He still tried to interfere by poking his paws at me and then chewing the corner of the paper. I then gave up and fed them! Before that they have all been fighting with each other. Jack started a fight with Tom. Tom did nothing to provoke it, he was sitting quietly on the chair and Jack jumped up at him and walloped him one. Then Leo and Charlie engaged in some scrapping. Charlie started it. It was funny watching them. They circle each other like lions and meow at each other in this high pitched whine. Then one of them leaps on top of the other one and they go rolling around on the floor kicking each other with their back legs. There’s a lot of chunks of fur all over the floor! I did the housework yesterday so I am a bit irritated with the scattered litter and fur all over my nice clean floor! Tried out my new Shark pet-hair vacuum yesterday. It was quite good. Boyfriend had read the instruction manual for me last weekend and despite needing an engineering degree to understand it we managed to work out the basic functions. It has a good suction on it and a brush roll which has got a lot of the hair up from the carpets. There is still a lot of hair there but maybe after a few months of vacuuming I will have got most of it up!
