14th April Blog Post 200 Movie Night Part 1

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I had ‘movie night’ which we had been planning for a few weeks. It was a kind of movie theme night and I had painted lots of movie posters for decoration and we had a little party buffet tea with sausage rolls, cheese and pineapple on sticks, crisps, dip and sandwiches. We watched Independence Day as I have never seen that before. It was good fun. The boys joined in as always. I had cleared my stuff off the dining room table and laid it with a tablecloth and plates, glasses, serving bowls etc. They enjoyed jumping on the table and walking up and down getting hair on the plates. I had also done a movie quiz which me and boyfriend played while getting tipsy on fizzy wine. I made microwave popcorn for the movie and unfortunately burnt it slightly. Those instructions on the packet are always wrong! We managed to eat some bits that were not burnt. We were sat on the sofa with a little coffee table in front of us which I put the bowl of popcorn on and of course Charlie jumped on the table and tried some of the popcorn. I don’t think he liked it very much! The rest of the evening the boys were relatively well behaved. Me and boyfriend had a bit of a squeeze on the sofa with Tom and Leo on there as well. Boyfriend stayed over so we all went to bed about 11pm (very late for me and the boys). Jack made sure he was on the prime spot on my bed, just where my boyfriend’s feet were!
