My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

25 Oct 2024 Blog Post 252 More Bubbles and Tidying Fun

As I talked about before, Tom and Leo love the bubble water game we play in the bath. This is where Tom or Leo sit in the bath and I turn the tap on for a bit till the water touches their paws and then I shake my hand in the water and try to make some bubbles on the surface. (Tom prefers to be in the bath alone but Leo usually joins in! Then Tom gets annoyed and jumps out!) They love watching the bubbles so much so I thought they might like bigger bubbles. When I was tidying their toys last weekend I found a bottle of catnip bubbles. I blew some bubbles (I wasn’t very skilled so it was a bit hit and miss!) I showed it to Tom, Leo and Charlie and Jack. They did not seem very impressed! Tom was scared of the bubbles and when they got near him he ran off! I thought it was a bit strange that Leo and Tom like the little bubbles in the bath but are scared of the big bubbles I blow for them!

I am continuing my tidying of the house. The upstairs is looking better and I started in the kitchen today. (As well as cleaning the windows and the fridge.) I was sorting out the linen drawer that has tea towels and napkins et cetera. I was trying to fold them and make it neater. Jack was watching me fascinated and I knew what he wanted to do. Before I could say ‘No you’re too heavy for the drawer’ he jumped up into the drawer. Thankfully the drawer did not sag unger his weight! Then he proceeded to wriggle through the gap and went behind the drawer, sitting on the stuff in the drawer below. I wasn’t sure he would be able to get back out so I took the drawer off its hinges and put it on the floor. Leo and Charlie soon joined in. They jumped into the drawer gap to have a look. Jack then jumped back out as he hates Leo and Charlie being near him. In the end, I managed to get them out and put the drawer back. However, I needed to tidy the bottom drawer which is my medical supplies drawer. I ended up taking that drawer out off its hinges as well. Of course then Leo and Charlie went into the gap to have a look. Also, anything that was in a plastic bag or plastic wrapping Leo and Charlie were chewing! A job that should have taken 20 minutes took an hour because of their fun and games! I don’t mind though. I got it all sorted in the end and the boys had fun, that’s the most important thing! Will see what they do this weekend when I have my birthday party and family visit.
