27th Dec Blog Post 267 Christmas 2024
I have had a brilliant couple of days. Although I hate Christmas as a rule, I did enjoy this year’s Christmas. Mostly because of boyfriend who makes it so special for me but also because of the boys and I love giving them presents. I have posted some pics below of the boys getting their presents (the photos are a bit rubbish sorry.) They did not seem interested in most of the toys I got (more interested in the wrapping paper) but they did like the feather wand I got and the Myshka’s Toy Box fluffy mice toys. Especially Charlie, he loves them. He and Tom were fighting over one of them at one point! Charlie has been carrying one of them around with him the last couple of days and he brings it to me and drops it at my feet like it is his ‘kill’. Cute. There was some scrapping going on between all the boys as well. I think all the excitement of Christmas makes them hyper so they tend to scrap and burn off some energy. My Dad and step-mum came to visit yesterday and the visit went well. Jack was the first down to see them, unusually, then Tom and then Leo. Charlie did not come down to see them for ages so I went to find him and he was asleep in the wardrobe. He did come down eventually and he got loads of fuss from Step-mum. She played with them all as well which they enjoyed. Tom and Jack did jump up on the table when we were having coffee and were looking at everything and enjoying cuddles and fuss with us. I think they know my dad and step-mum well now so are not as nervous. I met my boyfriend’s family on boxing day as they came over to give me some presents and then we went out for a walk. Jack was brave and he came up to say hello to them (the others were upstairs.) I was very impressed Jack was braver with new people than he normally is. They had also got the boys a little present which was kind. We are now getting back to our normal routine and I feel sad that Christmas fun is over. I am not due back to work for another week so I got plenty of time to spend with my boys. Not looking forward to going back to work!
