My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

5th January 2024 Blog Post 173 New Years

New Year’s eve me and boyfriend went to the cinema in the afternoon which was lovely. The boys were a bit miffed we left them for a few hours. I had spent that morning tidying the dining room table and laying it for dinner and I put up a few decorations (balloons and posters) to wish boyfriend happy new years. The boys got involved as usual and were jumping onto the table and trying to play with the balloons until I stuck them up high so they could not get at them. In the evening, me and boyfriend cooked and ate a meal together and had some fizzy wine. I got slightly sozzled! The boys were relatively well behaved and we managed to keep them off the table. The fireworks were irritating as I don’t like them and the boys got a bit scared, although they were not too bad. Every so often Leo and Tom (who are nervous nellies) would look anxiously at me and boyfriend when they heard a bang and as long as we did not show any panic they did not seem bothered. I fell asleep in my boyfriend’s arms and we went to bed not long after dinner. We are lightweights and not able to stay up till midnight to see in the New Year. My ear plugs meant I did not hear the midnight fireworks thankfully, but boyfriend got woken up by them! Happy new year everyone and lets hope 2024 is a good year!
