19th Feb Blog Post 186 Our Anniversary
Today is boyfriend and I’s one year anniversary. We celebrated on Saturday with a yummy meal at my house. Of course the boys tried to join in as well. They always like to be in on the action whatever it may be. I tidied the house and swept and mopped the floors getting rid of all the scattered litter and muddy paw prints. I cleared all my work stuff off the dining room table and put on a disposable table cover and laid it all nicely for dinner. I put up some posters and balloons. (One of the posters had a muddy paw print on courtesy of Leo!) While I was doing all this the boys were watching with fascination. They all jumped on to the table and walked up and down sniffing at the table setting. I had put three (artificial) roses in a cup (I didn’t have a vase) in the centre of the table. It was not long before Leo and Charlie were chewing and playing with them and Leo grabbed a rose in his mouth and ran off with it! I found it and retrieved it. Then he did again later on! Thankfully they did not do much damage to my nice table setting. Me and boyfriend had got each other pressies so we opened them before dinner. Mine were in a big big and Jack decided he wanted to go in the bag. Me and boyfriend had our meal which was yummy. We did have to move a couple of the boys from the table to be able to eat it in peace. The boys took to sitting on the sofa instead. When we had cleared the table and were doing some quizzes together the boys again joined us and jumped on the table to see what we were doing. It was a fun evening and we all enjoyed it. I left the table to sort out on Sunday afternoon. The disposable table cover was useful as when the boys came in from the trip outside to the muddy garden they all got paw prints all over it! When I took it off later I put it on the floor and Charlie went and hid inside it and Leo came over the poke at him and they had a squabble. I have left it on the floor by the patio door to use as a doormat until it gets too filthy and then I will throw it away. I am looking forward to summer and hopefully drier weather and less paw prints on the floor! (See pics below of Jack on the bag and all four boys on the sofa again.)
