My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

4th March Blog Post 190 Pestering

Charlie can be such a pain sometimes. All morning yesterday he was harassing me either for food or for attention. He starts meowing at me for his lunch at 10AM now. I end up caving in by 10.30 and giving him and the others a bit of lunch (Sheba.) The others tend to go for a nap on the sofa after that but no, Charlie continues to pester me for the next two hours. I was trying to get some of my painting and my knitting (yes I knit now!) which I am really enjoying and he jumps on the table and walks up and down, gets his paws in the paint pots, chews the paint brush etc. Then when I changed from painting to knitting he tried to chew the knitting needles or play with a ball of wool (I know I was asking for it when I started this new hobby!) I was getting so mad with him! He did not stop though. For a while I gave up and just cuddled him and stroked him as he sat in front of me looking at me with his big blue eyes! Later on when it was my turn to have lunch, he started meowing at me and clawing at my legs. I told him no, he had already had lunch. He continued following me and shouting at me. So again I caved in and gave him half a sachet of sheba. He ate about two mouthfuls and then started pestering me again! I think he wanted to eat my lunch instead. Thankfully I did manage to eat my lunch in peace as he wandered off to annoy Leo instead. Later on after shouting at him again for getting in the way of my knitting, he finally decided it was time for his afternoon nap and went on the cat tree. I was so relieved. I love him to bits (and the rest of my boys) but sometimes he really aggravates me!
