My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

30th April Blog Post 205 The Drawer Under the Bed

While I was working on my laptop on Saturday morning, it was surprisingly quiet and I wondered where the boys were. We had had our walk in the garden already and they had been running around the house afterwards all excited and chasing each other and thundering up the stairs. Then it was quiet. I figured they were resting upstairs somewhere. Then I heard a clunk noise from upstairs like something heavy was knocked onto the floor. I thought ‘Oh no what now?’ I sat there for another 10 minutes to see if there were any other noises or to see if they were going to come running back down stairs. I heard a bit of scuffling and some scratching. Mmm. What are they up to? I gave in to my curiosity (and to check they were safe of course) so I went upstairs to find out what they were doing. I could not see them on the landing. I looked in each bedroom and I could not see them. Where are they? I thought. Then I heard a little scuffle noise and I checked again in the spare bedroom next to my bedroom, and I saw Charlie sitting in the drawer under the bed! Me and boyfriend had put that drawer back in its place under the bed a few weeks ago. I used to have it out as the boys liked to go under the bed but I got fed up with it being the way so we had put it back. Clearly the boys preferred the drawer open! I was about to try putting it back when I heard a little growl from behind the drawer under the bed. I looked and there was Jack sitting behind the drawer! I don’t know how he managed to squeeze behind the big drawer and get under the bed but he managed it! I laughed at them and jokingly told them off! On Sunday afternoon while doing some tidying jobs, me and boyfriend put the drawer back under the bed again. I said to boyfriend I did not know how they had managed to pull the drawer out as it looked quite solid. In the evening after boyfriend had gone home and I was about to veg out in front of the TV, I fed the boys (upstairs) and I went to fetch the bowls. I couldn’t see Jack anywhere so I looked in all the rooms. Guess what?  He sat in front of the open bed drawer again! He looked at me so innocently! I had to giggle it was so funny! I still don’t know how he got it open! Don’t think I will bother putting it back now.
