My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

10th May Blog 208 Skating and Birds

I continue to practise my roller skating indoors up and down the hallway every day. I have had a go in the garage a couple of times but still quite scared in there as not much to hold onto! At least in my hallway I can hold onto the bannister or the doorway! The boys seem to be getting used to seeing me in skates now. They often follow me up and down when I am doing my ‘bubbles’ and ‘marching’ up and down the hallway. It is a bit disconcerting as I am not 100% confident I won’t wobble and fall over and I really don’t want to fall on my babies! Jack is a bit more careful and he usually sits in the cardboard box (I saved it for them to play in) that is in the lounge doorway. He can then watch from a place of safety should the worse happen! Thankfully I have only had one fall so far! The pads and the helmet definitely do their job. Skating outside is going to be completely different however, and more terrifying! I am working up to that. The boys had fun on their walk this morning in the garden. The black birds are back and doing their dive bombing thing where they swoop really low above the boys heads. This then makes me panic as the boys all go charging after them towards the fence! They really are brave birds getting so close to a predator or maybe they are teasing the boys instead!
