13th May Blog 209 Meal Service
Jack is trying to re-assert his dominance lately. One by picking on Tom sometimes and starting fights with him, the other is he gets his breakfast and dinner on the windowsill now instead of the floor! For some reason I have got them into the habit of having the meals on the landing. I think that was originally because Jack was always waiting upstairs for his dinner so I brought it up to him (yes I pander to them!) Then Leo joined him as he wanted to be near everyone’s food. Then Tom started coming up to the landing as well. Charlie sits and waits at the bottom of the stairs for his. However, I think Jack got fed up with Leo trying to eat his food so then he started sitting on the windowsill in the spare bedroom waiting for his bowl! So I give him it there now and he seems to like that and tends to eat more which is good as he is not a great eater. Unlike Leo who polishes off all the leftovers and is still intent on eating Tom’s food. Leo will wait patiently for Jack to finish though before I get the bowl down for him after Jack has had enough. When boyfriend feeds them for me if I am out all day, he always has to bring the bowls upstairs and puts it right in front of Jack’s nose on the bed! I think Jack is still the King of the house, but Charlie has no respect for him or anyone else so he is not his loyal subject! Charlie is just a wind up merchant as boyfriend likes to point out and a little fuss monster trying to muscle in and push the others away when me and boyfriend stroke them. They are such a funny group of characters.
