31st May Blog 213 Tom and Jack High
I was doubly surprised yesterday. When we were out in the garden for our usual walk/run/eat grass/catch worms/play, in the early morn, the boys were going in and out of the catio as usual. I was busy eating my breakfast so was not watching as closely. When I checked later, I could not see Jack anywhere outside, I thought maybe he had gone in. I checked inside, no Jack. I was starting to get a little panicky and then I saw that Charlie was looking up at the top shelf in the catio. I went in and had a look and there was Jack! I was so proud of him for finally getting up on there. He seemed very happy up there wandering up and down and getting cobwebs on his head. He kept smacking me on the head with his paw. Charlie was very perturbed. He kept meowing at me as he wanted to go up too. I explained again to him how to get up there but he has not got it yet. After that surprise about 20 minutes later, I noticed Tom had disappeared from the ground of the catio. I went to look and there he was on the top shelf copying Jack I presume. I said he was a clever boy for getting up there. He seemed pleased with himself. I must admit I was shocked as Tom is so lazy and not adventurous at all. I should give him more credit for being able to surprise me. Charlie was even more cross as everybody has got up that high except him! Maybe he will figure it out one day. (See pics below)
