My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

15th Jan Blog Post 176 Happy Birthday Charlie and Leo

It was Charlie and Leo’s two year birthday on Friday. I had bought their presents the week before and boyfriend had taken them to his house to hide them and he wrapped them for me, except for one that was too big to wrap. He brought them round on Friday evening. I had got them a card and I read that to them and we sang happy birthday. The boys (minus Leo) were all on the sofa and they were not sure what to make of it first. Then they saw the new mini cat tree scratching post I had got them and then they got more excited! One of the presents was making a jingley noise and Leo heard that and came downstairs. They were fascinated by the new cat tree (see photos) and there was lots of sniffing and jumping on/off and Charlie and Leo had a good scratch on it so they must have approved it then. We opened the other presents. One was a wooden rod with some peacock feathers and a bell. Leo and Jack liked that. The other was a new circuit toy with a ball inside and a mouse on a spring in the middle they can bat about. Lastly, I had got a feather thing on a spring that you can strap to your foot and entertain them while sitting in a chair waggling your foot about. Thought it would discourage Charlie from biting my toes. Jack wanted it as he was fascinated by the yellow feathers on it and he grabbed it and ran off. Charlie did not get much chance to play with that toy as half an hour later Jack had chewed all the feathers off! That was a waste of money. I think they all enjoyed the fun and they did eventually settle down to sleep with me later after all the excitement. I have put the new cat tree by the lounge door near the sofa for now. Jack still wants to scratch my sofa though. Caught him doing it yesterday and yelled at him! See birthday pics below.
