22nd Jan Blog Post 178 Jealous Jack

Jack is such a character! (They all are.) He made me laugh yesterday. I wanted to have a nap after lunch on the sofa. As usual it had been taken over by Raggies and Tom and Jack were sitting on it. Jack was at one end of the sofa and Tom the other. I gently lifted Tom up so I could lay down under the blanket and Jack stayed in his spot by my feet and did not budge. Tom readjusted his position so he could sit on me. Then 30 seconds later Leo comes running downstairs (he always seems to know when I am on the sofa) and he wants to join us. He jumps up and sits on me as well. However, he got a little bit too close to Jack. I heard this low rumble of a growl! Jack was staring daggers at Leo’s back. Leo froze for a minute on hearing the growl but then chose to carry on and ignore him. Jack growled one more time but Leo was not budging. Eventually Jack gave up and decided to just move himself even closer to the edge of the sofa so he was a few more centimetres further away from Leo. The odd thing is that the day before, Jack and Leo were cuddled up together on one of the spare room beds! I have even seen all of them on the sofa together so they can all share the same space without squabbling. I think the difference is when I am on the sofa, Jack is clearly jealous of Leo being on me as Jack wants me all to himself (or at least only have to share with Tom as he tolerates Tom.) I told Jack that he has to learn to share me with others!
