23rd September 2024 Blog Post 243 Distracting Noises

I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like with boyfriend during the week due to busy work days. However, at the weekend we make time for each other and have fun. On Saturday, the boys were being well behaved and were all asleep downstairs in the evening. Me and boyfriend went upstairs for some ‘alone’ time with the bedroom door shut of course. It was not long before we heard the boys outside. Then this banging noise started which sounded like they were trying to knock the door down using tools! Me and boyfriend ignored it. Later on, we went to check on the boys and they were all on the landing looking innocent. It was a mystery what the noise was. On Saturday I had bought a bigger mirror to put on the chest of drawers in the spareroom and boyfriend had put the old one on the floor next to the wall. On Sunday when were doing some household jobs, we realised the banging was the boys pawing at their reflections in the mirror and causing it bang against the bedroom wall! (Jack and Leo had been looking in the mirror very intently on Saturday.) We turned it around so they could not see their reflections anymore hoping this will stop them. I am going to find a new home for that mirror in the bathroom. When boyfriend was upstairs cleaning the new mirror and tidying the chest of drawers yesterday (I make mess and boyfriend tidies it) all the boys went upstairs to watch him/keep an eye on him!
