My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three
08 Nov 2024 Blog Post 256 Charlie Having Fun/Getting in the Way
Charlie made me giggle the other day. My ‘Happy Birthday’ balloon is still hanging around. Charlie had already chewed through the ribbon two weeks ago so it has been floating about the lounge with half a ribbon dangling from it. Charlie was on top of the cat tree and the balloon had moved to near the cat tree by this point. So Charlie realised he could reach the ribbon. He was batting it about and eventually managed to bite the ribbon and pull the balloon. He managed to jump off the cat tree with the ribbon in his mouth pulling the balloon behind him and then he went into one of the tunnels trying to drag the balloon in with him. It was so cute as obviously the balloon was too big to go in the tunnel so Charlie let go of the ribbon and it floated back up to the ceiling again. He came out of the tunnel and was looking up at it sadly like a child who had let their balloon float away into the sky. I moved the balloon back to the cat tree but he had lost interest by then. Jack had a play with it though.
Yesterday my hairdresser was around to trim my hair and as usual Charlie wanted to join in. He was weaving in and out of our legs and digging his claws in my leg trying to climb up my jeans! He was pawing at the apron-thing I had on and was hoping he wouldn’t make holes in it! Then unfortunately, at the end of the hair cut, the hairdresser stepped back and stood on Charlie’s tail! He let out a loud yowl! THe hairdresser apologised profusely for hurting him and I said don’t worry, I often step on their tails by accident and Charlie is always around your feet so more likely to get stepped on lol. I did give him lots of cuddles afterwards and he was fine after a few minutes. He is such a little fluffy baby (with a naughty streak.)
