My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Three

3rd Feb 2025 Blog Post 276 Sunday

Had a nice weekend with boyfriend and my boys. Me and boyfriend went shopping (I spent too much money) and I got some more food for the boys. They eat a lot between the 4 of them and always need to sock up at weekends. Also needed to get loads of cat litter as this Monday is the ‘clean out the trays’ day (every two weeks I change the litter.) Saturday was house work day as well and the boys always have fun playing around in my bedroom when I am changing the sheets. They like to hide under the sheets or try to climb into the bed sheet drawer under the bed. Unfortunately, they do not like the vacuum so they tend to hide, although Jack is braver and he watches me hoover from a discreet distance. When I mop the floors (with pet friendly cleaner) they straight away start walking on the wet floors leaving little paw prints. I don’t know why I bother! Anyway, it’s good fun for us all. Sunday was a nice day too. In the morning I was colouring in my unicorn colouring book (I like to de-stress this way) and Jack was curled up in the chair next to me. Charlie was on the table wanting fuss and eventually climbed into my lap for a cuddle which was lovely. He can be so cute and loving. Tom and Leo were upstairs, but Tom came down to see what I was doing. He then proceeded to have a tantrum. In the early morning, which was very cold, I had let them all out for a walk in the garden. Leo, Charlie and Jack came out for a bit but Tom refused. However, he decided at 10am that he wanted to go out while I was busy colouring and cuddling Charlie. He was scratching at the patio door and meowing at me. I got a bit annoyed and shouted at him. He eventually gave up and went off back upstairs in a huff.

Later on in the day, after a walk, boyfriend helped me put a new table cloth on my dining room table (my work desk) and all the boys jumped on the table and were getting in the way as usual! We eventually got the tablecloth on and put all my work stuff back there. Then finally, boyfriend helped me cut a big mat out of Jack’s fur. He had got a new mat on his neck and it was really big and looked like it was pulling at his skin. He was sitting on the worktop so I took the chance to carefully cut out the mat, hoping he would not move too much! Boyfriend helped to hold him and stroke him to keep him calm. It took me ages to carefully cut this mat out as I was scared I would cut his skin. He was a really good boy and apart from a couple of growly meows and wriggling a bit he did eventually let me cut the mat off after some fiddling. Me and boyfriend gave him lots of fuss afterwards and told him what a brave boy he was.

Perhaps not the most exciting weekend but I enjoyed it all. As long as I am with my favorite 5 boys that I love so much and who give me so much love, I am content.
