My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

31st Aug Blog Post 134 Poor Me and Jack

Bit of a rubbish weekend for us (although did have a nice time with boyfriend!) Friday night I stubbed my toe on the edge of the bed and fell over. In a lot of pain on Saturday but pretended it was fine and was walking/hobbling around all day. Then by Sunday morning it was very bruised and swollen and my toe looked a bit wonky. So boyfriend kindly took me the urgent treatment centre. They were very good there and got sorted in about an hour and a half. One foot x-ray later and found out I have broken a bone in my toe! No wonder why it hurt so much! So boyfriend has lent me one of his mum’s old walking sticks and am hobbling about at home this week.

The boys found it a bit scary at first. They were looking at me in concern when I was hobbling about and yelping every time I put my shoes on. When I got the walking stick I leaned it up against the wall and the next minute Leo knocked it over and went running down the hallway in fear. They seem to be getting used to it today but every time I use it they look a bit scared and run out of my way. Except for Charlie who keeps running between my legs when he gets excited. I really hope he does not trip me up as well.

Then poor Jack has got tummy upset and diarrhea again. I think it is because I gave them some Whiskas on Saturday as we had run out of Sheba. (Got some more now.) That was a bit stupid. Although the others have been okay. I have given him the Protexin gel that the vet prescribed in April and hoping it will ease off today. Poor Jack and poor me! Let’s hope the week gets better!

Oh, and Charlie got stung on his paw by a wasp on Saturday! He was okay though and with a lot of paw licking he seems to have recovered and no lumps or limping. They will never learn!
