My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

2nd Oct 2023 Blog Post 151 The Frog

Wednesday morning last week, Leo surprised me and the other boys by catching a frog!

I have no idea how a frog ended up in my garden, it’s not like I have a pond. However, it has been very wet and it’s a bit swamp-like at the bottom of the garden so I guess the odd frog may decide he likes it there. I was watching Leo and it looked like he was carrying a leaf in his mouth. Then when I got closer I saw its legs sticking out! I was horrified! I am not a big fan of frogs anyway, yucky and slimy, but what Leo did to it was horrible! He played with it for ages. He let jump away and then pounced on it again and again. Typical cat play, it seems so cruel. I did feel sorry for the frog. Eventually, he killed it and then proceeded to try and eat it! I took a pic and video of him with it. When it was time to go in, he was sat on top of it and he wouldn’t budge. I told him he was not bringing it inside. I picked him up and took him in. I told boyfriend about the corpse and he disposed of it for me thankfully!

Now every morning walk Leo is prowling the fence looking for more frogs!
