 Mats and Rugs

My Ragdolls love mats and rugs. What I mean by that is, that they like sitting on them, lying on them, scratching them and rummaging around underneath them or burying themselves in them and bunching them up into a ball and so on. They have a favorite mat which is the one by the patio door (that you see in a lot of my photos) and they snooze on there and play there. I put toys underneath for them to find. Then there is the welcome mat by the front door which I regularly find strewn across the hallway and folded over after they have been playing with it. That is the mat that Jack got tangled up in when he was little. There is the big purple rug that they have thrown up on a few times and it always has cat litter stuck in the fibers, They like scratching that one. In the lounge, there is the big black and white diamond rug that is their play area with all the toys. That is reasonably undamaged but they like to scratch on it now and again. Finally, Leo has started scratching on my fluffy rug in my bedroom and I found that all bunched up yesterday.

I think they like the different textures to scratch and also the movability (it that is the right word) of it and how they can get under it. I don’t mind what they do really as long as they are happy and safe. I do get a bit fed up with tripping over them though when they are in a ball on the floor and I haven’t noticed.
