My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

5th Sep Blog Post 42 Baths and Bugs

Had problem with my shower so have been having baths these past couple of weeks. The boys aren’t used to me having a bath so was amusing watching them. They each come in the bathroom one at a time a various intervals (as they were looking for me and wondering where I was) and then they meow at me and stand on their back legs and peer into the bath.

Leo decided to jump onto the side of bath like a daredevil and walking carefully up and down until he slipped and fell in! A bit of a splash and then he jumped out. He was a bit surprised at how wet it was! At least he was not otherwise harmed.

Found a wasps nest in the front garden just under the lounge window (in the ground). Got really scared as I hate wasps and was frightened they would get in the house and sting me or the boys. Thankfully with closed windows I could keep them out but had to be careful when opening the front door. Managed to get them sorted with a pest control person who killed them for me.

There has been the odd wasp flying around in the back garden and they like the wooden fence. The boys have been watching them on our morning walks and I have to be on guard as Leo and Jack especially, like to jump up at them when they are on the fence.

They all seem to love chasing bugs in the grass, using their natural hunting instincts.

I have been on leave this week so spending lots of time with them. They were even more excitable then usual and especially after the morning walks. That seems to make them hyper and they then run around the house and chase each other and charge into the cardboard boxes. I bought them some more cuddly catnip toys which they were not that interested in really but it still doesn’t deter me from buying them more toys! If they don’t like them I will play with them!
