Monday 12th Sep Blog Post 44 Well Done Jack

(30th Aug) The first time Jack went onto the grass! He has never been on the grass in the garden before, he only ever wanders up and down the patio as he is normally apprehensive about walking on the grass. Then today, he finally walked onto the grass! I was so excited for him and proud of him. Then it turned into a bit of a nightmare as Tom, Jack and Leo got very excited, and there was lots of running around and chasing each other. When I tried to get them to come in, they kept running away from me like it was a game and Jack is so strong! When I tried to grab him and get him in the doorway he wriggled and fought me to freedom and then ran across the garden towards the fence! I thought he was going to jump the fence! I nearly had a heart attack. I did finally manage to get them all in safely but definitely no more walkies off the leads. I just cannot trust them. Am going to get some longer leads for them so I can have them running around safely. I am glad they enjoyed it though and proud of my boy Jack for being so brave.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
