Friday 16th Sep Blog Post 45 Finally Using the Catio- Sort Of

Leo and Charlie are getting more interested in the catio, and they enjoy sitting in there and sniffing around. Leo has been jumping onto the bench and playing with the rope swing. They have not climbed up the slanting plank yet to the upstairs, but hopefully, they will have a go soon. Jack even went in there for a while as well to have a sniff around.

Leo is still going after wasps despite his unpleasant encounter with one.

I managed to trip over Tom’s lead, running to grab Leo in case he jumped the fence as he was going after a wasp with gusto and on his tiptoes at the fence to try and reach it.

Leo and Charlie also have a habit of digging in the ground like a dog, and I wonder whether they are planning on digging a tunnel under the fence!

When we came in from our walk this morning, the pigeons suddenly appeared on the grass and on the fence, and the boys were glued to the glass of the patio door watching them! It was quite funny. They wanted to go out again, but I said no. One walk a day is all I can cope with.

Later on, Charlie ate a big spider that was on the landing upstairs, yuck.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
