More Toys

Got some new toys for them from Wilkos yesterday. I know I shouldn’t have as they are so spoiled but I can’t help myself. I got a couple of catnip toys, a new canvas cube (they have nearly destroyed the old one on their cat tunnel), and a runaround toy that looks like a rubber orange centipede that runs around on the floor (has batteries). Leo and Charlie loved it. They were chasing after it and pawing it at. Even Tom and Jack joined in. They did not seem as interested in the catnip toys but Tom had a play with them and had a little catnip high. They also enjoyed their new canvas cube and I have used the velcro tabs and attached it to the other end of the existing tunnel. Leo and Charlie like to play in there and roll around in it. I am always looking for the next toy that will encourage them to run around and use up some restless energy. I got worried with them being house cats that they may not get enough exercise and I do think it’s important to have some play sessions every day together to encourage bonding and for the kittens, it increases their fitness and agility. It is also fun for them and I love seeing them happy.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
