Blog Post 53 14th October: Mirror Mirror

Jack looked in the mirror in my bedroom the other day. He started pawing at it; I guess he didn’t like what he saw! Leo looked in the mirror, too but did not react much at all. Funny, I wonder what they think when they see their reflection?

Had a day off last week, and they were bonkers! Running around, playing all day, chasing each other on the stairs and the landing. We played the spring coil game on the banister (where I put their plastic spring coils between the banister posts so they could knock them off). I connected up their tunnels to make them longer. Also, they enjoyed playing in some boxes left over from deliveries. They did not seem to want to walk in the garden much in the morning, maybe because it was getting colder, but they did indeed use their energy later.

The more they play the happier I am as I know it will tire them out so I can have some peace and quiet later!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
