My birthday was a couple of weeks ago and had a little party with dad and step-mum. I made some lunch and decorated a little with balloons. The boys were wondering what was going on, watching me curiously. Leo managed to pop three of the balloons, to his own amazement. Leo and Charlie were following me everywhere when I was trying to do the food, and Leo was walking up and down the work top meowing at me as I wouldn’t let him get to the food!

They were very well-behaved. Strangely, Leo and Tom were scared of my dad. Not sure why. Tom has met my dad before (although Leo hasn’t, and they all had not met my step mum before.) Tom hid upstairs the whole time. Leo eventually came in to see them and enjoyed play with my step mum. Charlie loved all the cuddles and fuss and playtime. He loves everyone. My dad and step mum had bought them two new cardboard scratching boards with cat nip, which they enjoyed. All in all, a good visit.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
