My Aunty, cousin, and my cousin’s five-year-old boy came to visit a couple of Saturdays ago (the first time in 18 months). Charlie and Jack were okay with the visitors but Leo and Tom hid upstairs. Leo did come down eventually to watch Edward play with Charlie. Charlie loved all the attention. The boys were good at lunchtime as well and did not try to get on the dining room table. I was proud that they all were very placid with Edward and let him stroke them and you see why people say Ragdolls are good with children. Poor old Tom refused to come down all day unfortunately, so I had to take Edward and the others upstairs to meet him. He was very nervous, but at least they got a quick meeting with him. I think Tom does not like the noise of children and he is a nervous nelly sometimes. It is good to know that in the future I can have younger visitors around them and it will not upset them too much and Charlie especially will like it. He loves everyone and food of course.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
