My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

Blog Post 67 3rd December 2022 Charlie on the Worktop

Charlie has now figured out to get on the worktop now. He sits on one of the cardboard boxes in the kitchen (that they play in) and then has enough height to jump onto the worktop more easily (as he is a bit bottom heavy and struggles to jump high unlike Leo.) He is having great fun now walking up and down the work top, looking in the sink, gingerly walking on the stove, looking for the treats which are now in a jar (plastic) with a lid on! It is funny how it has taken him so long to work out how to get on the worktop and Leo has been jumping on it for months! Oh bless.

The boiler man came to service my boiler a couple of weeks ago. The boys were a bit nervous as usual but Charlie always the affectionate welcoming one was following him around and watching him. The boiler man was not a cat lover clearly as he just ignored him. Charlie did not give up though. At one point when the chap was chatting to me Charlie was on the coffee table and he was leaning over and trying to rub his head on the chap’s hand. He did not take much notice and Charlie looks at me all sad as if to say ’Mummy he won’t stroke me!’ Sorry Charlie. I may think you are adorable but others do not. I don’t understand why though, how can you resist that little fluffy face and big blue eyes!
