Blog Post 71 16th Dec Cold Mid-Winter

Jack seems obsessed with my water bottle at the moment. I am trying to cut down on caffeine and having started drinking more water and I like the fizzy spring water. When I first opened the bottle and then put it on the table, Jack was interested. Then I noticed he was sitting there staring at it. Every so often, he would make little ‘mew’ noises that he does when he is excited about something and I realised he was watching the bubbles rise in the water! He eventually knocked the bottle over with his paw as I think it was driving him nuts. So funny.

They have not been as keen to go out for morning walks this week in the garden now everywhere is frozen over. It is cold on their paws they have realised. And I am bloody freezing too, standing there watching them carefully tiptoeing through the frozen grass.

None of them like the treats out of the advent calendar! What a waste. Even Charlie does not seem to like them and I thought he would eat anything!

I am looking forward to opening their Christmas presents with them but it will have to be New Year now as I am working all through the Christmas weekend!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
