Blog Post 83 – 3rd February 2023 Everything and the Kitchen Sink

The theme is water this week. Leo is obsessed with the kitchen sink tap at the moment.

He sits there in the morning and meows at me till I turn the tap on, and then he sits and watches it and then tries to put his head under it and drink it. The sound of running water makes me want to pee, though. Every time I turn it off, he looks at me sadly and chirrups at me and I end up giving in and turning it on again. He just loves running water. He and Tom like to sit in the bath when I have emptied it after having my bath and they try to lick the water drops on the bottom (I told them it would not taste nice as it was a bit soapy.)

Now of course, because of Leo and Tom getting wet paws, I have a little trail of paw prints on the kitchen and hallway floors. I got this Flash speed mop and have been using that every day to clean up the paw prints. It is a never-ending job!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
