20th February 2023 Blog Post 88 Leo!!

Heart in the mouth moment this morning on our early morning garden time, Leo had a mad moment and went charging off across the garden, I had attached the lead to him but to my horror, his harness popped off (it had slipped over his head)! Thankfully he stopped before the fence and I managed to grab him, take him back inside, and put one of the velcro harnesses on instead. That had never happened before with that harness (RabbitGoo clip-on harness) that he was wearing. Have adjusted the straps, and hopefully, it will be tighter on him. He did manage to wriggle out of the velcro harness as well. He is a little Houdini! He has been at the toilet rolls again as well!

Success with the change in food so far. They like the Almo Daily (brand) fish in jelly sachets. I know cats are not supposed to have a sweet tooth, but they yummed up the peas and the carrots in the sauce, which I am sure are sweet tasting (although I have not tried the food myself.) Also, I was glad it did not give them runny bums either. Success.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
