My Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

Friday 10th March 2023 Blog Post 93 Fun Walks

Jumping up at bugs when on our walks in the wet and damp weather these past couple of weeks. Leo and Jack were loving it! I was getting a bit wet and cold, though. Charlie likes sitting in the catio watching from a position of more safety. Sometimes the blackbirds dive bomb us though, which panics me as suddenly the boys go running after them, and I have to hold on to their leads just in case they make a break for the fence. They have not so far tried to climb the fence but all it takes is for a moment of excitement and they go charging off. I am always watching them. I do not trust them completely to obey me. For the most part, they are really good. They know what I mean when I say ‘stop’ or ‘its time to go in now’ when I go back to the patio door and they do follow me to go in, but not all the time! I think their curiosity and fascination with the outside overwhelm them sometimes, and they do not want to go in! I often have to carry Charlie in as he loves it in the catio. He meows at me as if to say ‘No, mummy I want to stay out!’

Leo is a little monkey as well as he tried to fool me into thinking he was being well-behaved and coming in with the others at the end of our walk/sit in the garden this morning, and the moment I got his lead off, he dived for the door but I grabbed him before he ran outside again. It is a bit stressful taking them outside but as long as they are enjoying it we will do it.
