It was funny the other night when me and boyfriend were trying to have some alone time together (which is impossible anyway with Ragdolls), and Charlie came to join us and got in-between me and boyfriend! He was insistent on joining in! It was sweet but drives me nuts sometimes! Boyfriend told me that Jack acts totally different when he goes around to feed them if I am not there for lunch. Jack rolls on his back and wants tummy rubs and tickles. Yet when it is the evening and boyfriend visits, he acts all aloof and distant. I think he feels more threatened when it’s me and boyfriend together. He sits in the corner under the cat tree (his new spot) and watches us while pretending to be asleep. Tom tends to sit next to us on the sofa, he is not bothered. Leo is usually upstairs, but he will come down for a bit of fuss. They are definitely getting used to seeing us together now, and it is nice. Our little family.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
