10th April 2023 Blog Post 102 The Birds and The Bees

Jack and Leo have been trying to tunnel under the fence again! Any gap they see, they want to try and get into it. Jack was pushing at the fence with his head and he managed to make the panel wobble a bit! They are so strong. All four of the boys were watching the birds fly over this morning. They are just fascinated. I love watching the expressions on their faces. Sheer wonderment as they stare at crows, pigeons, blackbirds and seagulls.

Jack is still loving a good prowl of the worktop every day. I think there might be a bit of a battle for supremacy between Jack and Charlie, as Charlie has been picking on him a bit lately and Jack almost tried to push Charlie off the worktop when they were both on there! I wonder if when Charlie gets even bigger he will put up more of a fight!

Charlie is still enjoying joining me and boyfriend in our cuddle sessions most evenings. Jack is still watching us carefully from a good vantage point. He clearly still has reservations about boyfriend and me being together, and the jealousy is plain to see!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
