I had a go with the harnesses (the same ones I used with Tom and Jack when they were younger) it was quite amusing but we haven’t achieved walking outside yet. The little kittens’ harnesses I got 6 months ago are way too small now after their new growth spurt so I tried the velcro fastening harnesses. They are slightly too big but managed to get them to wear them for a few minutes. Leo spent most of the time trying to rip it off with his teeth and Charlie tried a little walking but flopped over a few times. They need to get used to the weight of them as it affects their balance. Leo eventually pulled it off over his head so I gave up! Will try again next week. Think it will be a while before I can take them outside!

Jack hissed at Charlie and Leo last night. He doesn’t normally but I think sometimes he gets irritated with them being near him. Just like any family he just needs space I think. Can be difficult managing the dynamics of four Ragdolls.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
