5th June Post 118 Such Characters
I love their different characteristics and habits. King Jack likes prowling the worktop and he loves to sit there and watch me eat my breakfast or lean over into the sink and put his paws in it. Charlie loves the worktop too especially when I am dishing up food for them and he likes to ‘check’ each bowl to see if there is any difference between them even though I always tell them they are all the same! He drives me nuts when he sits on the floor next to my chair and meows at me about an hour before lunch to remind me he is starving! Then later on he will sit behind my laptop and watch me while I work and then lay down and stretch his legs out and fall asleep, occasionally twitching and snoring.
Leo’s obsession with toilet roll and kitchen roll is amusing. I think he has had a few bites on all of them in the house now. He even found the box of tissues by my bed and I found them all chewed up the other day. My favourite one of Tom’s habits is he tells me when the washing machine has finished its cycle. He knows when it is coming to the end by the noise and he meows at me to tell me then goes and sits in front of it waiting for it to beep. I go over and tell him thank you for telling me Tom! Sometimes, if I don’t take the clothes out straight away, then he sits there staring at them waiting for me to take them out. I am sure it is because I few times I forgot to and I said to him ‘Remind me to take the clothes out of the machine to put them out to dry’ so now he does. He drives me nuts in the morning when I am getting them ready for their walk. Every time I try to put his harness on he runs away from me! I tell him that he can’t go out unless he wears his harness. I chase him a few times until I get fed up so then I wait for him to come sneaking back to sit by the door. He thinks he can get out without me noticing! Then I pounce on him when he tries to sneak out and put his harness on! I tell him there is no point in fighting me as I will win in the end! I also love it when he paws at my leg when I am working as he wants me to pick him up and hold him like a baby and have cuddles. They are such funny little characters, all of them.
