Had a good play session today. Introduced Leo to Flippity Fish and he loved it! Had the fluttering butterfly toy going, the JML Pop n Play, and the Meow spinning toy Leo playing with the Meow chaser toy. Then I also put on the disco ball light and tried out the unicorn bubble maker they got for Christmas. (follow the links for the videos on YouTube flippy fish). It was a psychedelic cat discotheque party, sort of! The Ragdoll Cat Disco I think they had a bit of sensory overload with so many toys going at once. They liked the bubbles and were watching them and chasing them. Note however that the bubble liquid does leave blobs on the floor which you need to clean up as they can make the floor sticky and slippery.

I also got out the laser lite toy. Tom and Jack love that. I always feel bad though as it seems a bit mean to tease them with the light that they can never actually catch! It’s funny when I turn the toys off and put them away for the day as Leo gets really cross and meows at me and will go into the toy box and look for them!

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
