My Ragdoll Cat Journey Part Three
2nd Jan 2024 Blog Post 172 Boxing Day
Boxing day my Dad and stepmum came to visit. I tidied up the boys’ toys and tunnels off the floor, laid the table for the lunch. Of course they all got on the table and were sniffing around and sitting on the place settings. Tom got a bit upset as he does not like change and he realised something was going on as I had moved all their stuff. During the visit, Charlie was the first one to greet Dad and stepmum as he loves fuss. Then Jack came down to investigate. Leo and Tom hid upstairs for a while. Stepmum had got them a new toy, a little fishing rod with a feather dangler at the end with a jingly bell. When Leo and Tom heard that they eventually nervously crept into the living room to have a look. Boyfriend was there as well and I think seeing him made them less nervous. They eventually all had a good play and Leo and Tom were brave and stayed downstairs with Jack and Charlie.
Poor Jack had tummy upset again that day so he rushed off to his tray and did a squitty poo which I had to clean up and sort him out. Thankfully he was better by the next day. I am sure he has got IBS.
When we had lunch Charlie and Jack were trying to get on the table. Boyfriend picked Charlie up to move him and he dug his claws into the table cloth and nearly took the whole lot with him. He was squealing as he hates being picked up and he wanted to investigate the food! With some encouragement we managed to keep them off the table and ate lunch in peace. The boys kept watch from the living room.
After lunch we opened our xmas presents and the boys tried to get in the bags and chew the wrapping paper. I think they enjoyed themselves and they were sleepy later on which was nice so I could get on and tidy up in peace. All in all it was a successful visit and they were mostly behaved!
