Charlie and Jack the Beginning

I am so relieved everything went ok yesterday and I got my new kitties back from the old home to my home in one piece. I only managed to honked at twice while driving (once because I was driving too slowly trying to find the right house and the second time because I cut someone up on the roundabout which is not like me normally!)

The kittens were ok in the car, did a bit of crying now and then. I just talked to them the whole way and tried to reassure them. Thankfully the traffic was not too bad for a pre-bank holiday day so we made good time.

Jack and Tom knew something was up before I set off that morning. I had already put out an extra litter tray and got the cat carrier out so they were suspicious! I was very on edge as well but trying to play it cool.

When I got Charlie and Leo back I put them in the ‘safe room’ with their tray and bed and toys. I popped them in the tray so they knew that was where they were supposed to go. They were very good. No accidents so far. They knew straight away what to do. Then after that they just played and ran around. It was a joy to watch them.

More in my next post about what happened next…
