Ragdoll Cat Adventures Blog Part Two

2nd May Blog Post 6 Nurturing

I like the fact that the younger cats are encouraging the older ones to play more and seems they are giving them a new lease of life so to speak. It is what I wanted as I had hoped that four Ragdoll cats would mean plenty of energy between them to play together and leave mummy in peace for a while. Especially when they have a nice long nap afterwards and it is all quiet. However, they still like it more when I join in with their playtimes. I have spent a lot of time crawling around on the floor playing with them and looking for lost toys under the sofa and the table.

I feel like Jack and Tom also look out for the little ones as well. I find myself saying to them ‘Can you just keep an eye on Charlie and Leo for me while I just do this…’ Maybe I am humanizing them too much but I think there is an element of that present in them. They are definitely watching the babies closely and they get a bit on edge when Charlie and Leo are running around noisily or squabbling together (they have had their first play fight!)

It was also really amusing when I saw Jack and Tom use the small litter tray meant for the kittens! I couldn’t believe they could still fit in it but they managed. I suspect that again was a defiance thing meaning ‘ if they are using this tray then so can we!’ Jack and Tom are certainly enjoying the kitten biscuits as well which is not good but I am not sure what to do about that yet..
