Squabbles and Games

Charlie and Leo and Tom and Jack are getting much closer now and as well as some snuggles together there has been lots of play with each other. I can see their bonds growing stronger and the trust between them. Jack and Tom are very gentle and play is quite careful from their point of view. When Leo and Charlie fight it gets a bit heated and a few squeaks and tufts for fur fly. Jack and Tom still squabble like that now as well. The fights are normally short-lived and they are friends again.

I do feel sorry for Jack and Tom sometimes as when I try to involve them a bit more in the games and get out their favorite toys like Jack’s feather wand, Leo and Charlie immediately jump in and grab it. You just see the disappointment in Jack’s eyes, bless him.

Tom made me smile last week as on two occasions he tried to hide his favorite toys (Angie the Lama and Mishi the bird) from Leo and Charlie under the bed and in the lounge.

I brought them out again though as I always take them downstairs in the morning and back upstairs with us at bedtime and the next night Leo grabbed Angie and ran off with her into the bedroom. Tom looked a bit sad. I said ‘Don’t worry I will get you another Angie so you both have one each!’ I don’t think he was too impressed.

What Is A Ragdoll Cat?

The Ragdoll cat as legend has it, was descended from Josephine a feral cat living in California in the 1960s. She was struck by a car and after she recovered, her kittens produced all the winning traits that would become the hallmark of the Ragdoll cat including large heavy build, soft downy fur, docility and laid-back personality. The original bloodlines of Ragdolls can be traced back to Ann Baker’s Ragdoll cats. It was she who developed the breed from the original Josphine. Ragdolls are beautiful, friendly, loving cats know as gentle giants of the cat world.
