Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

20th May Blog Post 11 – Catnip

Tom and Jack seem better at sharing their toys with Charlie and Leo now. They don’t have much choice in the matter! Tom still doesn’t like it when Leo takes Angie though.

I got out one of the more interactive toys for them today- the flutter butterfly. Basically, the fake butterfly on a pole attached to a base spins around. Leo and Charlie loved it, especially Leo. He was playing with it for an hour. Even Jack got bored of it and fed up with Leo jumping and chasing after the butterfly he kept grumbling as if to say ‘Can you stop that now I want to have a nap!’ Eventually, I turned it off as I wanted a bit of peace and quiet as well. At least I know I have a toy that will keep them busy for a while now.

It is nice to see Tom and Jack get re-interested in playing now. They run around much more and chase after Leo and Charlie when they have their morning zoomies. I love watching them. I found a bag of catnip in the drawer so I refilled the unicorn toy with some. Tom and Jack liked that. Then I thought I would have a go a making my own. I had this stuffed heart-shaped little cushion so I opened it up and stuffed catnip in it and sewed it up again. Tom got very excited and kept trying to grab it off me when I was sewing. I also got an old scrunchy hairband and turned that into a catnip toy. Maybe I should start my own line of handmade catnip toys! My sewing skills are a bit basic though!
