Ragdoll Cat Adventures Part Two

5th Aug Post 33 It’s Getting Hot Hot Hot!

I think the heat is bothering them now (I wrote this post in the week of 18th July) and it’s bothering me. The house is very warm. I was really worried about them especially when I left them and went to work but I always come back at lunchtime anyway. They seemed OK just a bit lazy and spending more time laid out on the tiles in the kitchen. Leo and Charlie still wanted to play but I tried not to get them too worked up in the heat. I am still using the air cons but I turn the noisy one off at night. Tom is still being fussy though. I am not sure what he is trying to tell me. Maybe he just wants to tell me he is hot and bothered. They are still eating and drinking though which is good. Apparently, there will be a break in the hot weather this weekend and some thunderstorms (which may upset them as well) and hopefully, it will cool down. I got their little pool out yesterday in the kitchen which has these little foam toys for putting cat treats on and I have some robot fish that wiggle. Leo enjoyed it. Charlie and Jack could not manage to eat the treats so I put them on the floor for them in the end. Tom was not interested. Tom and Jack had a nasty fight on Monday night when we went to bed which is not like them. Again, I think it is because the heat is making them cranky. Leo and Charlie were interested in the air cons as they were watching me fill them up with water. Leo then went and knocked the lid off of one of them! He is so naughty. He still likes to chew things a lot and when he jumps on my lap he tried to chew my knees. Charlie keeps going after my earphones when I am trying to work which is so annoying. They learn quickly though when they are not supposed to do things but it takes a few ‘Nos’ before they stop. Discipline is a challenge.
